![]() Modernism has its roots in the search for social equality and material optimisation; basically the three principles of what have been termed sustainable design: social, economic and ecological. SITE is committed to sustainable design with focus on how these contexts interrelate. Our development of modern architecture aims to produce places, products and services in a way that reduces the use of non-renewable resources, minimises environmental impact, and relates people with the natural environment. We work actively with the three principles of sustainability in the following ways: Ecology – through planning and orientation, daylight design, building information modeling and innovative passive and active design solutions. Social – through designing socially responsible architecture and supporting core values in the areas of human rights, labour standards, and anti-corruption. Economic – through innovative design combinations utilising “spill” resources, extraction of data, materials and quantities, and analysis through simulation. |
