Architecture Prize to Horten

The new headquaters of the Law firm Horten continues to attract attention. Most recently, the building received a Prize from IDA (International Design Award) in the category New Commercial Building, Urban Design. While 3XN is responsible for the overall facade design, the contractor Pihl A/S is responsible for design development, construction documentation and construction of the innovative facade.

SITE was responsible for implementing Horten's workplace and CSR strategies, programming and interior fit out of the building. There has been continued interest in the functionality of the building which is seen as a motivating workplace, where dynamic knowledge sharing is prioritised. This has helped position the building as an icon among companies, nationally and internationally. As far away as China and Indonesia, SITE has recently been in contact with institutions who want to know more about the organisation of the building. And in Europe SITE has held lectures about Horten and the creation of a knowledge platform in Sweden, Norway and Latvia over the summer months.
