Topping-off ceremony in Kregme

Kregme's new low energy kindergarten, Børnehuset Kregme, is on schedule and getting closer to completion. The handover date is October 1st, 2009. Today it was time for celebration as the topping-off ceremony took place.

City council member of the municipality of Halsnæs, Jens Raunkær (V) opened the ceremony with a speach giving praise to the people behind the project. He was followed by Svend Pedersen from HHM who expressed great satisfaction with the project and extended his thanks to the tradesmen and the project team. This includes SITE as the architect and Niras as the energy consultant.

Børnehuset Kregme is designed by SITE for the contractor HHM Entreprise and will be the first kindergarten in Denmark to fulfil the strict environmental demands of a class 1 low-energy building. Through intelligent design, this is achieved at the price of a “regular” kindergarten. Børnehuset Kregme is a result of a competition in December 2008, where HHM in cooperation with SITE won first Prize (read more).
